What is a Story Invitation?
A Story Invitation is a request sent by your Insights Manager asking you to contribute your story.
It clearly defines the type of story you are being invited to share, how the story will be used, and when the story must be contributed.
Step One: Find your Story Invitation
If you have been sent an invitation, you can find it in your email, on your Home page, or your My Stories page.
a) Finding your Story Invitation in the email
When an Insights Manager sends you an invitation, you will receive an email from the Folktale Team.
💡 If you can’t find the email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder.
Press the View story invitation button and you'll be required to sign in to your account.
b) Finding your Story Invitation on the Home page
If you already have a Folktale account, you can sign in and press on the Inbox to find your new invitation.
c) Finding your Story Invitation on the My Stories page
Your new invitation will also appear in the Pending section on your My Stories page, labeled as NEW.
Alternatively, you can find your new invitation by pressing the bell button at the top right of your screen.
After finding the invitation, press on the title to open it.
Step Two: Sign in to your account
To contribute a story, you need to have a Folktale account. You can choose one of the following actions:
a) Sign in to your account
If you already have a Folktale account, you'll be taken to the Sign in page or see the Sign in to accept this invitation button. Follow the guide on Sign in to your Folktale account to learn more.
b) Create a new account
If this is your first time using Folktale, you'll be taken to the Create Account page or see the Create an account here button. Follow the guide Create a user account in Folktale to learn more.
c) Contribute as a guest
Depending on the Story Invitation, you might be presented with the option to contribute as a guest. This method allows you to contribute your stories without the need to create an account or leave your name or email.
You can choose this method if you don't have a Folktale account or want to stay anonymous. Follow the guide Contribute your story as a Guest to learn more.
Step Three: Accept the Story Invitation
Before accepting the invitation, you can review the type of story you are being invited to share, how the story will be used, and when the story must be contributed.
Watch the video message to gain a better understanding of what is expected and take a look at the invitation details provided below the video.
Once reviewed, press Accept this invitation.
⚠️ If you choose to decline the invitation, it will disappear from your page.
Accepting the invitation will take you to Create your story page. Before recording, you can review the invitation details by pressing About this contribution.
