      Create a user account in Folktale

      A guide to creating your user account in Folktale

      Overview

       

       

      Step One: Register your email

      Go to portal.folktale.io where you will be taken to the Sign in page. From that page, click on Create an account here at the bottom of your screen.

       ⚠️ If you are joining an existing Folktale workspace, make sure that the email address you use is the same as the email address that received the invitation.

        
      Next, you can add your email address, verify that you're human, and check I understand and accept Folktale's terms and conditions and privacy policy. Once done, click on Create account to proceed.

      Step Two: Verify your email

      Check your email inbox or spam folder for a message from the Folktale team requesting you to verify your email address.
      Click on Verify my email and create my Folktale Account.

      Step Three: Create your account

      You can select to Sign up with Google or fill in your name and click Create account.

      Step Four: Secure your account

      You can secure your account using a passkey or a password.

      Setting up a passkey

      A passkey provides a higher level of security and convenience when logging into your account compared to traditional passwords. By using a passkey, you can easily access your account using features like fingerprint, face ID, or a PIN.

      To use a passkey, make sure that your device is supported. Click on this link to see the list of supported devices.

      Next, you can check the box I am human, follow the verification process, and click Create a passkey for signing in.

      Setting up a password

      Your password needs to be at least 8 characters long. Add your password, confirm it, and click Set new password to continue.

       
      Congratulations! Your account has been created.

      Depending on your goal, you can continue to create your Folktale workspace or explore your Home page for more exciting features.
