Understanding the Project Dashboard

The Project Dashboard provides an overview of your project's progress, helping you track invitations, monitor story submissions, and manage active contributors. This guide will help you navigate and make the most of the dashboard.

If you're managing projects in Folktale, the Project Dashboard helps you stay informed about participation, track submissions, and ensure storytelling efforts stay on course.

  • Admin or Insights Lead permissions

What is the Project Dashboard?

The Project Dashboard offers a centralized view of project activity, allowing you to:

  • Track story invitations and responses.
  • Monitor stories in progress and submitted stories.
  • Manage active Story Invitations and Story Presets.
  • Recognize contributor engagement through the leaderboard.

Who has access to the Project Dashboard?

  • Admins and Insights Managers can access and manage the dashboard.

Navigating to the Project Dashboard

  1. On Desktop: Click on your workspace name in the left navigation panel.
  2. On Mobile: Press the menu button, then select your workspace name.
  3. Select a project and click Dashboard to access the Project Dashboard.

What Can You Do in the Project Dashboard?

Monitor Responses and Create Invitations

  • Track the number of people who have accepted, declined, or not responded to a story invitation.
  • Create a new Story Invitation or Story Preset directly from the dashboard.

Monitor Stories in Progress

  • View stories that have been started but not yet submitted.
  • Send reminders to individual contributors to encourage timely submissions.

Track Project Submissions

  • See the total number of stories submitted and unique contributors.
  • Click View submissions to access stories in the Story Library.

Manage Active Story Invitations

  • View and manage all active Story Invitations within the project.
  • Click an invitation title to open the Invitation Overview.

Monitor Contributor Engagement

  • Use the Project Leaderboard to see the most active contributors.
  • Encourage engagement by reacting to submitted stories.

Contribute Your Own Story

  • Share your own story within the project by clicking Contribute My Story.
