Play and Download a Story

A guide to view and download a story in My Stories and Story Library.

đź“Ť   Who is this for?

This guide is for Contributors, Field Reporters, Admins, and Insights Leads who want to play and download stories they have submitted or manage.

🔑 What permissions are needed?

  • Contributors can view and download their own submitted stories.
  • Admins and Insights Managers can view and download all submitted stories in the Story Library.

My Stories

Once you submit a story, you can find it in the Submitted section of your My Stories page.

To play and download your story, press the thumbnail.

Story Overview

This will take you to the story overview, where you’ll find:

  • Play and Download buttons on the video bar.
  • Subtitles: You can toggle subtitles on/off.
  • Reactions & Tags: View reactions from your Insights Managers and the tags you added before submitting.
  • Invite Overview & Participants: Scroll down to see:
  • Invite details (what was requested).
  • Story participants (who contributed).
  • Story template (format used).

Story Library

As an Admin or an Insights Manager, you can find all submitted stories in the Story Library.

To play and download a story, press the thumbnail.

Story Overview

Once inside the story overview, you’ll see:

  • Play & Download buttons on the video bar.
  • Download Options:

  • Download Transcript

About Subtitles & Downloads

  • Subtitles are not embedded in downloaded videos.
  • This ensures compatibility with platforms like YouTube, which auto-generate subtitles.
  • You can download subtitles separately for customization.
  • Subtitle Options:
  • Toggle on/off
  • Edit Subtitles
  • Download Subtitles
  • Add a New Language Track

Reactions & Tags

Story Details

  • Invite Overview: What was originally requested.
  • Story Participants: Names of contributors.
  • Story Template: View the template used.
