Upgrading Your Guest or Workspace Managed Account (WMA)

While there is specific use cases for a Guest or WMA account, there may come a time where a full Folktale Account may be more valuable. In this article, we’ll discuss how to upgrade your Guest or Workspace-Managed Account (WMA) to gain full control over your stories and notifications.

The Benefits of a Full Folktale Account

Upgrading your account unlocks the following features:

• Secure login using an email or a passkey.
• Access and download all submitted stories from your My Stories page.
• Receive notifications when someone views or reacts to your stories.
• Get reminders for stories you've started but haven't submitted.
• Withdraw consent for a story you've previously submitted.

Follow the steps below to upgrade your account.

Step One: Go to Your Profile

1. Sign in to your Guest or Workspace-Managed Account (WMA).
2. Click on your profile at the top right of your screen.
3. Select Profile to go to your Profile page.

Step Two: Link Your Email Address

1. Scroll down and find Link email address.
2. Click to expand the section.
3. Enter the email address you want to use.
4. Click Get linking code to continue.
5. Check your email inbox for a message from Folktale.
6. Copy the verification code from the email.
7. Return to your Profile page.
8. Paste the code into the box and click Link account using this code.
