A Guide to Downloading or Saving Clips to Your Device

Contributors & Field Reporters: Saving recorded clips before uploading.

🔑 What permissions are needed?

You must be signed in to Folktale.

As an additional safeguard against losing your recorded video, you have the option to download the clip to your device. This step is recommended, especially if you're having trouble uploading your shots due to an unstable internet connection.

How to Download a Clip

After recording a clip:

  1. Press the Download button at the top right of your screen.
  2. The clip will be downloaded to your device.

📌  You can download the recorded clip only before uploading and previewing your shot. Once uploaded, the download option will no longer be available.

Downloading Clips on Chrome for iPhone

If you're using a Chrome browser on your iPhone, follow these two steps:

  1. Press the Download button at the top right of your screen.
  2. Press the Download button at the bottom of your screen.

Well done! 🎉 The clip is now available in the Downloads folder or Photo Library, depending on your device.
