Withdraw Consent for Your Story

If you’ve submitted a story and would like to withdraw your consent, you can do so from your My Stories page. Once consent is withdrawn, the story will no longer be accessible.

  • Contributors & Field Reporters: Withdraw consent for a story you’ve submitted.
  • Insights Managers & Admins: Navigate and manage story consent requests.

🔑 What permissions are needed?

  • Log in required
  • Access to My Stories page

Selecting a Story to Withdraw

You can find all your submitted stories on your My Stories page.

For Contributors & Field Reporters

  1. Sign in to your Folktale account.
  2. You will be taken directly to your My Stories page.

For Insights Managers & Admins

  1. Sign in to your Folktale account.
  2. Click My Stories on the left navigation panel (desktop) or press the menu icon and select My Stories (mobile).
  3. Scroll to the Submitted section.
  4. Select the story you wish to withdraw consent from. This will take you to the Story Overview page.

Withdrawing Consent for a Story

  1. On the Story Overview page, press the menu button at the top right of your screen.
  2. Select Withdraw Consent.
  3. (Optional) Enter a reason for withdrawing consent—this will be sent to your Insights Manager.
  4. Press Withdraw Consent to confirm.
  5. A confirmation message will appear—click OK to finalize.

⚠️  Once consent is withdrawn, the story will no longer be accessible to you or your Insights Lead. This action cannot be undone.
