Withdraw Consent for Your Story
If you’ve submitted a story and would like to withdraw your consent, you can do so from your My Stories page. Once consent is withdrawn, the story will no longer be accessible.

- Insights Managers & Admins: Navigate and manage story consent requests.
🔑 What permissions are needed?
- Log in required
- Access to My Stories page
Selecting a Story to Withdraw
You can find all your submitted stories on your My Stories page.
For Contributors & Field Reporters
- Sign in to your Folktale account.
- You will be taken directly to your My Stories page.
For Insights Managers & Admins
- Sign in to your Folktale account.
- Click My Stories on the left navigation panel (desktop) or press the menu icon and select My Stories (mobile).
- Scroll to the Submitted section.
- Select the story you wish to withdraw consent from. This will take you to the Story Overview page.
Withdrawing Consent for a Story
- On the Story Overview page, press the menu button at the top right of your screen.
- Select Withdraw Consent.
- (Optional) Enter a reason for withdrawing consent—this will be sent to your Insights Manager.
- Press Withdraw Consent to confirm.
- A confirmation message will appear—click OK to finalize.
⚠️ Once consent is withdrawn, the story will no longer be accessible to you or your Insights Lead. This action cannot be undone.
