Creating and Using Tags
Tags help categorize stories in the Story Library, making it easier to organize and retrieve relevant content. By creating a structured tagging system, you can enhance team collaboration and improve filtering capabilities within your workspace.

This guide is for users who need to categorize and organize stories within the Story Library for easier retrieval and team collaboration.
🔑 What permissions are needed?
- Insights Leads and Coordinators can create, apply, and manage workspace tags.
- Contributors can add personal tags, which are not searchable by default.
Step One: Go to the Story Library
- Sign in to Folktale.
- Click on your workspace name in the left navigation panel (desktop) or press the menu button (mobile).
- Select Story Library to access submitted stories.
Step Two: Select a Story to Tag
- Locate a submitted story in the Story Library.
- Click on the video thumbnail to open the Story Overview.
Step Three: Add Tags to the Story
- Scroll to Workspace Tags.
- Click the (+) button to add a tag.
- Search for an existing tag or create a new tag.
- Add multiple tags as needed.
Contributor Tags
- Contributors can add personal tags when creating stories.
- These tags appear in blue beneath Workspace Tags and are not searchable by default.
- To convert a Contributor tag into a Workspace tag, click the up-arrow next to the tag.
