Contribute Your Story as a Guest

If you've received an invitation to contribute a story, you can submit it as a Guest without creating a Folktale account. This allows for quick and anonymous submissions without needing to sign in.

  • Guest Contributors: Submit a story without a Folktale account.
  • Anyone invited via a Community Link.

  • Access to a valid Community Link invitation

What is a Guest Contributor?

A Guest Contributor is someone who submits a story without signing up for a Folktale account. This option is useful if you prefer to contribute quickly or anonymously.

  • No account creation required—start recording immediately.
  • Option to remain anonymous by not entering your name or email.

⚠️ Important: When submitting as a Guest, you will not be able to access or download your story after logging out or if there is no browser activity for 14 days.

  1. Click the Community Link in your invitation.
  2. You will see an option to Sign in or Contribute as a Guest.
  3. Click the link to view the invitation details.
  4. Review the story request, including:
    • The type of story being requested.
    • How your story will be used.
    • The deadline for submission.
  5. Watch the video message for guidance.
  6. Read any additional instructions provided below the video.

Contributing as a Guest

  1. Select Contribute as a Guest.
  2. Choose to enter your name or an identifier (optional for anonymity).
  3. Click Accept this invitation to continue.
  4. Proceed to record and submit your story.
  5. Tap About this contribution to review the invitation details.

⚠️ Guest Access Limitations:

  • Your account will only remain active while your browser session is open.
  • You must use the same browser and device to continue accessing your story.
  • If you log out or clear your browser cache, you will lose access to submitted stories.
  • Your session will expire after 14 days of inactivity.
