View a list of languages we support for automated captions
Captions are a great way to make Folktale stories more accessible to viewers. Folktale uses speech recognition technology to automatically determine what language a person is speaking and produce captions to display the spoken words as text at the bottom of the video player.
💡 Automatic captions are generated by machine learning algorithms, so the quality of the captions can vary depending on the language, dialect, and recording quality of the story. These algorithms are constantly improving.
