A guide to respond to a story request shared via a Community Link

What is a Community Link?

A Community Link is a unique URL generated for a Story Invitation. This link allows anyone to view and access the story invitation to contribute a story.

Step One: Open the Community Link

Open the link provided by your Insights Manager from the device you will use to capture your story. You can use a mobile phone, laptop, or another device with a camera and internet.

The link will open up to a story invitation and you can review the type of story you are being invited to share, how the story will be used, and when the story must be contributed.

Watch the video message to gain a better understanding of what is expected and take a look at the invitation details provided below the video.

Step Two: Sign in to your account

Sign in to accept this invitation

If you have a Folktale account, press Sign in to accept this invitation. This will take you to the Sign in page where you can sign in using your email address and password, Google, or a passkey.

Contribute as a guest

If you don't have a Folktale account or want to stay anonymous, you can choose to contribute as a guest. This allows you to contribute your stories without the need to create an account or leave your name or email.

Create a new account

If this is your first time using Folktale, press Create an account here to create a user account in Folktale

Step Three: Accept the invitation

Once you sign in, press Accept this invitation to proceed.

⚠️ If you choose to decline the invitation, you will be directed to the My Stories page and the invitation will disappear from your page.

Accepting the invitation will take you to Create your story page. You can review the invitation details again by pressing on About this contribution.

Now, you're ready to record your story. Check Recording and submitting your Folktale story for the next step.
