How to navigate between devices to capture your Folktale story
Overview
There are times when you may find yourself wanting to switch devices while recording a story. For instance, you might want to move from a desktop computer to a mobile phone.
With Folktale, you have the flexibility to switch between different devices without losing any of your data.
Step One: Record your story
Once you have received an invitation, you are ready to start recording your first shot. You can press the Shutter button once to begin recording and press it again to stop.
Once done, it will be saved on your current device. In order to access it on a different device, you will need to upload your story and save it online.
Step Two: Upload and build preview
To upload your shot, go back to the Create your story page by pressing the Home button. From that page, scroll down where you will find the Upload and build preview button.
The upload process will take a few minutes and once the shot has been uploaded, you can jump to another device.
Step Three: Change your device
Once you switch your device, go to portal.folktale.io and you'll be taken to your My Stories page. From there, press the story title to be directed to the Create your story page.
From that page, you can access your previous recorded shot and you're ready to take the next one!
