Change Portrait Lock or Auto-rotate when filming in Landscape mode

How to change your device settings when filming in Landscape mode

If you are filming in Landscape mode and notice that the Questions and Timer are sideways like this:

 

Instead of like this:

This means you have to change the Portrait Lock or Auto-rotate settings on your mobile device. These settings will look and be called something different depending on what device you have.

For phones with a Portrait Lock icon

Swipe down to your device’s quick menu and find the Portrait Lock icon.

If the Portrait Lock icon is highlighted, click to turn it OFF.

For phones with an Auto-rotate icon

Swipe down to your device’s quick menu and find the Auto-rotate icon.

If the Auto-rotate icon is NOT highlighted, click to turn it ON.

Rotating the video with the Rotation button

If you have already taken the shot and noticed that it is not in the right position, you can rotate it by pressing the Rotation button.

Once done, click the Upload and Build preview button to save the changes.

 

⚠️ You can adjust the video rotation only before uploading and previewing your shot. Once you upload the shot, the rotation option will no longer be available.
