Story Library

As an Admin or an Insights Manager, you can find all stories submitted by your contributors in the Story Library. To play and download a story, press the thumbnail.

This will take you to the story overview, where you can find the play and download buttons on the video bar.

Note that pressing the download button will give you options to:

  • Download video (available with Essential and Standard feature plans)
  • Download transcript (available with Standard feature plan)

Kindly note that when downloading videos from Folktale, subtitles are currently not included in our videos. This is to accommodate various distribution channels.

Folks may wish to add these videos to their own channels and some platforms, like YouTube, which automatically provide subtitles. Including embedded subtitles in the downloaded video could lead to a duplication of subtitles when shared on these other channels.

In addition, subtitles encoded in videos are not accessible. As we want to offer you more flexibility and customization options, we provide the option to download the video and its transcripts (i.e., the subtitles) separately. This way, you can decide how best to incorporate the content into your activities and ensure a seamless experience for your audience.

On the video bar, you can find the subtitle button. Pressing on the button will give you options to:

Please note the subtitle feature is only available with the Essential and Standard feature plans.

Below the video bar, you can see reactions to the story as well as add your own reaction. Press the emoji to show the contributor how you feel about their story.

You can also add workspace tags and see any contributor tags if available.

Lastly, you can check the story detail by expanding the Invite overview, Story participants, and Story template.
