Everything Admins and Insights Managers need to know about workspace in Folktale
Overview
What is a workspace?
Workspace is a virtual space for everything your team will do in Folktale. It’s where you collaborate on projects, collect and manage stories, and share reports.
A workspace can also be shared, and all your shared workspaces will be listed under the Workspaces section for easy navigation. This includes both the workspace you own and manage, as well as other workspaces where you are assigned as Insights Manager or Admin.
Each workspace requires its subscription, but you can explore and experience Folktale by requesting a demo with one of our team.
💡 When you create a new workspace, you will be automatically assigned as the Admin, giving you full control and management capabilities within the workspace. Learn more about Admin in Folktale roles and permission.
Who has access to my workspace?
- Admins can access and manage workspace settings, branding assets, as well as billing and subscriptions.
- Insights Managers can invite Field Reporters.
- Field Reporters, Guests, and Contributors cannot see your workspace, projects, or Story Library.
Navigating to my workspace
Once you sign in, click on your workspace name in the left navigation panel (on desktop) or press the menu icon in the top left to expand the panel (on mobile device) and press on your workspace name.

What can I do in my workspace?
Create and manage workspaces
Create your own workspace and collaborate with your team. Note that each workspace requires its own subscription. As a starter, you can request a demo with one of our team or speak to sales to explore and experience Folktale.
Create and manage projects
Group your story requests and contributions together within a project to analyze and track progress.
Manage people and permissions
Invite, manage, and remove your team members in your workspace on the People page.
Access templates
Find the global and custom story templates available in the workspace and create an invitation from one.
Upload branding asset
Upload multiple assets to be added to the end of every story sent to you by your contributors.
Manage Story Library
Manage your collection of submitted stories from all of the projects in the Story Library and order a Supercut.
Manage Workspace Settings
Redefine the purpose of your workspace anytime by changing its name, logo, and description in workspace settings.
Manage your billing and subscription
Upgrade your plan, manage your subscription, or see your invoice within Billing & Subscription page.
