Introduction to Projects in Folktale

What is a Project?

A project is a time-bound space for you to collect stories from your world.

Projects allow you to group your story requests and contributions together in a way that will allow you to analyse and track progress. This might be based on a location, an initiative, an event, or a significant milestone.

Who has access to a Project?

• Admins and Insights Leads of the workspace can access projects.
• Contributors and Field Reporters do not have access to projects.
• An Admin has access to create and manage a project within the workspace. This includes access to the Project Settings to manage automated captions and upload consent forms.
• An Insights Lead will have visibility to all projects within the workspace and have access to create Story Invitations and Story Presets within the projects. However, they will not have access to the Project Settings nor to create or manage a project.

Navigating to a Project

Once you sign in, click on your workspace name in the left navigation panel (on desktop) or press the menu button in the top left and press on your workspace name from the panel (on mobile devices).

Next, select a project and you're ready to explore!

What can I do on a Project?

Within a project, both an Admin and an Insights Manager can view the Project Dashboard, Projects page, Project Summary, Story Invitation, Story Preset, and Send Reminders.

Only an Admin has permission to create a new project and manage projects in the Project Settings.

Monitor the Project Dashboard

Monitor the progress of each project, including the story invitation, and assess their performance effectively via Project Dashboard.

Create and Manage Projects

Create new projects and manage them within the workspace.

A page that summarises each project's goal, submission rates, leaderboard, and stories received.

Manage Story Invitations

Collect stories from your contributor by sending out Story Invitations and manage them easily on the Story Invitations page.

Manage Story Presets

Manage your Story Preset by creating, modifying, disabling, or removing it as needed.

Track your contributors' performance and send them reminders to submit their stories.

Manage Project Settings

Edit the details and scope of your project, manage automated captions, and upload your terms and conditions.
