Creating and using tags for Insights Managers

A guide for Insights Managers to create and use tags or code in the Story Library

Overview

What are tags?

Tags are a great feature to help you categorize stories and keep things organized in the Story Library. By adding relevant tags to each story, you can easily find a story that matters most to you.

It is recommended to create a tagging system within your workspace for effective collaboration with your team. A tagging system will help you filter relevant stories to gain a better understanding of the data you collect.

Step One: Go to Story Library

Once you sign in, click on your workspace name in the left navigation panel (on desktop) or press the menu button in the top left and press on your workspace name from the panel (on mobile devices).

On desktop On mobile devices

Next, select Story Library and you'll be taken to the Story Library page.

Step Two: Select a story to tag

In the Story Library, you will find all the stories submitted by contributors. Select a story to tag by clicking on the video thumbnail.

You'll be taken to a new page with more details about the story.

Step Three: Add tags to the story

Scroll down until you see Workspace tags and click on the (+) button to open a search box.

The search box allows you to search through any tags that have already been added to the workspace. You can also type a new tag and add it to the workspace.

Feel free to add multiple tags to the story.

Contributor tags

When a contributor creates their story, they will also be given an opportunity to add tags. This allows contributors to provide additional context and information around the story that they feel may be beneficial to the Insights Managers.

If a contributor has supplied any tags, they will appear in blue beneath the Workspace tags. By default, these are not yet searchable or filterable in the Story Library in order to ensure that the workspace owners can verify the contents.

The contributor tags can be converted to a Workspace tag with a click of the up-arrow located in each tag.
