Before you start...
It’s important to understand how each clip type works and why they’re important for your story.
As you create your story, you might have different needs depending on what you want to share. We’ve given you the flexibility to build your story your way.
Clip Types
Primary Clips (Audio Enabled)
Primary Clips are your direct response to the prompt. This is where you answer the question or share the main message of your story. These clips include audio because they convey your core message through both voice and visuals.
Example: Use Primary Clips to directly respond to the prompt provided or share an important message, ensuring that your audience hears your voice.
Supporting Visuals (No Audio)
Supporting Visuals are similar to the Attachments feature you may have used in the past. These are photos or videos that visually support your Primary Clips. Supporting Visuals do not have audio because they are meant to enhance your story visually without interrupting the main audio from your Primary Clip.
Example: Use Supporting Visuals to show additional details, such as photos from an event or a video that enhances what you’re talking about in your Primary Clip.
Additional Clips (Audio Enabled)
Additional Clips are extra clips that add more detail to your story but stand on their own. These clips include audio and play immediately after the related Primary Clip. They provide extra content with both visuals and sound, giving your story more depth.
Example: Use Additional Clips to share follow-up information or provide extra insights that need their own space, like answering related questions, expanding on a topic or providing preview of the event being discussed.
Best Practices for Using Clips
- Primary Clips: Keep your Primary Clips clear and concise, as they are the foundation of your story.
- Supporting Visuals: Use these to highlight key moments or details that are better explained visually.
- Additional Clips: Use sparingly to add value when it's needed without overwhelming viewers with too much information.
