Recording audio-only makes it easier to contribute your story, especially if you’re not ready to be on camera. You can also attach videos or pictures of your surroundings to create a more engaging and visually enriched story.

How to Record Audio Only

1. Accept a Story Invitation and start recording from your device.
2. Press the Record button—a new page will open.
3. To record audio only, tap the Camera button at the bottom left of the screen.
4. The Camera button will change to a Microphone icon, indicating that you are ready to record audio only.
5. Press the Shutter button and start speaking after the countdown.
6. When you’re done, press the Shutter button again to stop recording.

Enhancing Your Story with Attachments

• To make your story more engaging, add video or photo attachments. These will serve as a visual background for your audio recording.
• After recording, the clip will display a black screen. Once uploaded, it will transform into a waveform visualization.

• Preview your story.
• If you’re satisfied with the result, submit your story.
