Respond to a Story Invitation

A Story Invitation is a request from your Insights Lead to share your story. It outlines what type of story to contribute, how it will be used, and when it is due.

📍   Who is this for?

  • Contributors: Respond to invitations and submit stories.
  • Field Reporters: Accept and record stories on request.

🔑 What permissions are needed?

  • Log in required (unless contributing as a Guest)
  • Access to a valid Story Invitation

Finding Your Story Invitation

You can find your invitation in three locations:

  1. Your email inbox (from the Folktale Team)

💡  Check your spam/junk folder if you can't find the email.

  1. Your Folktale  Home page
    • Invitations appear in the Inbox tab.
  1. Your My Stories page
    • Look under the Pending section.

Additionally, new invitations can be found by clicking the bell icon at the top right of your screen.

Signing In to Your Account

To contribute a story, select one of these options:

  • Sign in to your existing Folktale account.
  • Create a new account if this is your first time.
  • Contribute as a Guest (if available) – this option is useful for anonymous submissions.

Accepting the Story Invitation

Before accepting, review the details:

  1. Check the story type requested.
  2. Watch the video message for guidance.
  3. Review the invitation details.

Once you're ready, click Accept this invitation. You will be taken to the Create Your Story page to begin recording.

⚠️ Declining the invitation will remove it from your page permanently.
