This guide is for Admins, Coordinators, and Insights Leads who want to create structured story templates for consistency and efficiency in storytelling.
🔑 What permissions are needed?
- You must have Administrator, Coordinator, or Insights Lead permissions.
- You must have an active project in Folktale.
Overview
Templates help maintain structured responses, align with program strategies, and streamline the storytelling process. Using templates ensures Contributors provide consistent insights while saving time on setup and coordination.
Step One: Access the Templates Section
- Sign in to Folktale and navigate to your workspace.
- Click on Templates in the left navigation panel.
Step Two: Start a New Template
- Click Create new template to begin setting up your Template.
Step Three: Add Essential Information
- Choose an icon to represent your template.
- Add a title and a brief description.
- Include necessary questions or prompts to guide Contributors.
Step Four: Save Your Template
- Once all details are added, click Save.
- Your template is now accessible in the Templates section for future use.

Can I edit a template after it has been created?
- Yes, you can. However, changes will only apply to future stories using that template.
